2008, Here We Come!

Wow, we kinda dropped the ball on keeping this news site up to date, but, you know, if more of you read it and shit, we'd take better care of it. Oh, never mind, it's a vicious circle.

Regardless, DK tied up 2007 in a huge way with our 3-day only Thanksgiving Weekend Best Of Spectacular. The people came out and had a good time while we played all of the favorite songs, returned to our greatest sketch hits - Spitbaby, The Tick, Bloodbath the Clown, Blind Cop, Bums... it was a good good time had by all.

But now, here we are in the death throes of this grand year.

We come bearing fantastic news: Dynamite Kablammo's most ambitious show yet will be hitting the ZJU January 15th and run Tuesday nights at 8:30pm. I can't divulge any details YET, but I will tell you there will be some amazing shit going down in that little North Hollywood theater at the top pf the new year. Seriously. Amazing. Blow your mind. And I am not afraid to raise expectations... we read the scripts this morning (Sunday), and yes, you must see this show.

Dynamite Kablammo MySpace Gone Missing

Yikes! Apparently MySpace doesn't like the DK as our MySpace page has gone missing. We've emailed the powers that be, but knowing MySpace, we don't expect to hear anything back for about three months. In the meantime, we've created an all new MySpace page which is actually a Comedy Page (which we've wanted anyway) - check us out here: http://www.myspace.com/dkablammo

Oh yeah, and friend us!

Today, October 6th, Dynamite Kablammo donated a show to the North Hollywood Arts Festival. We simply remounted our most recent show and had a HUGE audience. The biggest of our run! This was possibly helped by a printing of our picture in the Daily News! Hooray! DK is everywhere, bitches! You must succumb.

Buy Tickets To See Dane Biren - NOW!

According to Dane:

"Thats right kids, you heard it here. Tickets for my solo concert at the Santa Monica Playhouse are now on sale.

Who: Umm, me.
What: A one man singing concert, with maybe a guest vocal performance by my favorite piano player.
Where: The Santa Monica Playhouse 1211 4th St. Santa Monica, CA 91401
When: Friday June 15th at 8:30 PM. Note the later curtain time so you losers with real jobs can still make it.
Why: Because I've spent enough money on voice lessons to not be doing something about it.

Seriously folks, I'm really excited about this show, and I'm putting a lot of hard work in to make it happen. I've never done anything like this, so we can all expect a few surprises (myself definitely included)

I will be singing a wide range of songs from different broadway shows, popular music from today and yesterday, and maybe we'll throw in a few standards to boot.

Here's how you can grab your tickets before they sell out:

If it's between the hours of 11-5 mon-fri you may call the box office of the Santa Monica Playhouse at (310) 394-9779 ext 1.

Or, you may go online at any point at www.santamonicaplayhouse.com and click the link for their current shows. Then click on "Dane Biren In Concert" and follow the links to purchase online.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I cannot stress this enough: buy your tickets as soon as you read this email. Even as I am writing this almost half the seats are already gone. I really want all of you to be able to be there with me. It means so much to me.

talk to you soon, and soooo looking forward to this show."

Dynamite Kablammo.com Now Up And Running

After working non-stop for the last week, Greg finally got the DK web pages done, bought the domain name and the hosting space, and uploaded the pages.

DynamiteKablammo.com lives. Somehow, we feel that having a web page now makes us more legit than having been nominated for several awards and having had BSW love us. *sigh* Will we never catch up to this modern world?
