Dane Biren Gets A Second Show!

That's right, if you missed the opportunity to buy tickets to the first night of Dane's solo performance, you now have a chance to buy tickets to the second night! Dane Biren Sells Out In 20 Hours!

That's right, folks. If you fell asleep, dreaming about buying tickets to go see Dane Biren's solo show, well, wake up and be sad (for yourself), because the show is totally sold out. Apparently it set a new record at the Santa Monica Playhouse; selling out in 20 hours isn't very common, it turns out.

Those of us who did buy tickets are incredible excited to see this performance, and we'll let you know all about it.

Dana DeRuyck Rocks Dogberry

In other DK ensemble news, Dana has just been chosen to play Dogberry in a production of Much Ado About Nothing at the Gardner Stages in Hollywood every weekend in July. Not sure about when tickets are going on sale, but stay tuned!

"Thats right kids, you heard it here. Tickets for my solo concert at the Santa Monica Playhouse are now on sale.

Who: Umm, me.
What: A one man singing concert, with maybe a guest vocal performance by my favorite piano player.

When: Friday June 15th at 8:30 PM. Note the later curtain time so you losers with real jobs can still make it.
Why: Because I've spent enough money on voice lessons to not be doing something about it.

Seriously folks, I'm really excited about this show, and I'm putting a lot of hard work in to make it happen. I've never done anything like this, so we can all expect a few surprises (myself definitely included)

I will be singing a wide range of songs from different broadway shows, popular music from today and yesterday, and maybe we'll throw in a few standards to boot.

Jesus Has Been Shot

Over the weekend, the DK crew got down to business and shot the Jesus Likes To Party sketch and the Jesus Says It's Okay To Be Gay sketch, both from the first show. The footage is currently digitized on Matt's iMac and is awaiting editage. It is going to rock and you will all know when it is up.
